With the promotion of Paul Gillett to CEO we are very pleased to have Gareth Brooks join us as CFO. Gareth has experience in Banking (BNZ), CA (BDO) and Corporate (NZ Post) roles in New Zealand and the Netherlands. Gareth has represented New Zealand hockey on 112 occasions, including the Commonwealth Games and twice at the Olympics and is still involved in coaching the sport. We are very fortunate to have Gareth on board.
In keeping with our policy of continuous improvement we have installed a complete new log scanning system in the sawmill. This replaces the old infra red scanning system with the latest digital laser technology. Tui Technology completed the turn key project ahead of schedule and under budget. It is also producing results in excess of our expectations so a huge thank you to the Tui Technology team.

We here at SRS were fortunate to have not suffered any significant damage as a result of the devastating Feburary 22nd Christchurch earthquake. Our thoughts go out to all those who have not been so lucky.
As a way to show our support, the team at SRS built a fully self contained shower unit which is now on the streets of Christchurch.
We were extremely humbled by a very generous contribution from EFCO Asia for this project.
This shower unit, built in a shipping container with 3 female and 3 male showers, onboard gas hot water system and power generator has now been donated to the Christchurch City Council for use in streets undergoing power upgrades and other services that may disrupt water supply.
